Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to our school.

I am delighted to welcome you to our school community and thank you for taking the time to learn more about who we are and what we stand for.

As an Educate Together secondary school, we are committed to providing an education that is inclusive, student-centred and rooted in equality, respect and democratic participation. We believe that every young person deserves to feel valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential, regardless of their background, beliefs or circumstances.

Our school is built around three core values: Community, Collaboration and Creation.

Community is at the heart of everything we do. We work hard to create a school where students, staff and families feel a genuine sense of belonging. Schools are about much more than examinations and results; they are places where friendships are formed, confidence grows and young people discover who they are and who they want to become.

We believe in Collaboration, recognising that education is most successful when we work together. Students, staff, parents and the wider community all play an important role in creating a positive learning environment where everyone can thrive.

We value Creation because we want our students to be curious, innovative and willing to try new things. Through learning, creativity, critical thinking, sport, leadership, the arts and community involvement, we encourage our students to develop the skills and confidence they need to shape the future rather than simply respond to it.

Our ambition is that every student who walks through our doors feels known, respected and supported. We want our young people to leave school with excellent qualifications, but equally importantly with kindness, resilience, independence and a strong sense of social responsibility.

I am incredibly proud of our students, our staff and the wider school community. Together, we have created a school where young people are encouraged to learn, to contribute, to challenge themselves and to make a positive difference in the world.

I hope our website gives you a sense of the vibrant and welcoming community we have built together.
