In March 2026, our school participated in the LOETB S.T.E.A.M. Showcase at Portlaoise College. Junior Cycle students presented projects developed through the LOETB S.T.E.A.M. Programme — an initiative that encourages creative, cross-curricular thinking in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
The event brought together schools from across the Laois Offaly Education and Training Board region. Our students rose to the occasion, showcasing the depth of their learning and the quality of their project work in front of peers, teachers and judges.
In a fantastic result for the school, our Minecraft team achieved 1st place at the event — a tremendous achievement and a reflection of the hard work and creativity the team put into their project throughout the year.
We acknowledge the support of Laois County Council and LOETB in making this opportunity possible, and extend our congratulations to all students who took part.
